New Classes & Timetable Now Live!

Always striving to be the best functional fitness facility in the area is no easy task, but we find that by asking for member feedback as often as possible we’re able to provide the best possible service. Something that has come up a lot over the last few months is more ‘MetCon Madness’ & ‘Sweat’ style classes. These classes tend to focus on the conditioning aspect of CrossFit rather than the strength/skill component, making them very popular for those members who just want a great workout without having to work on anything too technical.

Adding more of these classes to the timetable prompted us to take a look at all of our classes and whether we could improve on the clarity of them. From this, we’ve made the decision to rebrand our classes so it’s clearer to everybody exactly what to expect when you book on and attend a class.

Below we’ve detailed what each class is now called and also added a short description on what you can expect. As always, if you have any questions or comments, please post below or get in touch.

CF60 / CF45

Group coaching utilising the CrossFit methodology. CrossFit workouts are comprised of constantly varied functional movements (like pushing, pulling, squatting, lifting, running) performed at high intensity.

CF60 – 60 Minute Class

FIT60 / FIT45

Several high intensity workouts involving swings, squats, presses, pulls, rowing, skiing, biking, running…and generally anything that gets your heart rate going. No strength/skill component is programmed into this class.

LIFT60

This is a class aimed at Weighlifting and building strength for the Snatch + the Clean & Jerk. This class will not be easy but will not have a WOD in and so will be different to a normal CrossFit Class.

GYM60

Our gymnastic classes will look at breaking down the gymnastic movements that are used in a CrossFit WOD (Workout of the Day), allowing you to work on progressions outside of the pressure of a workout.

TEAM60 / TEAM45

Still a CrossFit Class but many of the workouts will be performed in teams. This is guaranteed to be fun. Members pick their own music, it is different every week and there is no better way to start your weekend.

ROW45

This is a 45-minute class building your engine and work capacity whilst also improving your rowing technique. A great class for anybody wanting to improve their rowing technique that also delivers a great workout.

A special mention about MetCon Madness

Our Saturday morning MetCon Madness class is consistently one of the busiest classes of the week so therefore this will not change. If you’ve never taken part we highly recommend you get booked on to this fantastic class. There are 30 spaces up for grabs each week and we’ll partner you up with someone to share the workload with.
